Last year’s
Dealing With Difficult Volunteersworkshop was a favorite of FVA members. Given the importance of this topic and the many angles yet to explore, we are pleased to bring you the sequel!

No matter how experienced you are as a volunteer manager and how well your volunteers have been performing, difficult situations invariably arise. Performance or behavioral conflicts can emerge between the volunteer and staff, between the volunteer and clients, and between volunteers themselves. Our featured speakers will train you on how to best deal with difficult volunteer situations using a variety of illustrative case studies.

Through this workshop, you will learn communication techniques to focus your attention on the situation rather than the individual, and best practices for performance evaluations and progressive discipline processes for ongoing volunteers. Whether you interact with volunteers every day or only once a year at a special event, this workshop will make you a more mindful and effective volunteer manager.

This workshop is suitable for new and veteran administrators alike.
